Digital Transformation Lead
You will run transformation programmes for clients who have usually tried once already and stalled. The work sits between an operating model and the technology underneath it, and most of it is neither: it is people, incentives, and the quiet politics of who loses control of a budget. Our house view is that transformation fails on adoption rather than architecture, and we expect you to spend more of your week on that than in design reviews.
Apply for this role- Team
- Digital Transformation, 11 people, working alongside the Technology practice
- Reports to
- Practice Lead, Digital
- Travel
- Roughly 30% — mostly Nordics and Northern Europe
What you will do
- 1Lead programmes end to end — from the case for change to the quarter where people actually work differently
- 2Translate an operating model into the systems, data and integration decisions that have to follow from it
- 3Own the programme plan and the budget, and have the uncomfortable conversation when one of them slips
- 4Work with the Technology practice on architecture and delivery without pretending to be its lead engineer
- 5Build adoption deliberately — training, incentives, middle-management buy-in — and measure whether it took
What we are looking for
- Seven to ten years in transformation, operations or technology-led change
- Evidence you have delivered a transformation and not only designed one — we will ask what broke and what you did about it
- Enough technical depth to argue with an architect honestly: ERP, data platforms, integration patterns, the real cost of a legacy interface
- Patience for stakeholder work — a bad week here is three steering committees, a vendor escalation and nothing shipped; anyone who wants to be the smartest technologist in the room will be unhappy
- Written and spoken English that holds up in a steering committee; Danish or another Scandinavian language helps but is not required
Nice to have
- Having lived through a programme on the client side before advising on one
- Familiarity with Danish and Nordic industry or the public sector
- A background in change management or organisational psychology — unfashionable among engineers, and useful here
