Market Intelligence Analyst
You will spend most of your week reading — filings, tender registers, permit databases, trade press in four languages — and most of what you read will lead nowhere. The value is in the small fraction that does, and in noticing it early enough to matter. When a client changes a decision because of something you wrote, nobody will say so out loud. You will know.
Apply for this role- Team
- Market Intelligence, 6 people
- Reports to
- Head of Market Intelligence
- Travel
- Roughly 10% — occasional site visits, conferences and client workshops
What you will do
- 1Track demand, capital flows, regulation and talent movement across the eight markets we serve
- 2Triangulate every claim against independent sources, and mark clearly what still rests on one
- 3Keep the underlying data in order — the SQL, the spreadsheets and the notes explaining why a figure moved
- 4Write the weekly and monthly briefings: four hundred words, one clear claim, and what it means for a named client
- 5Take the questions consultants send at short notice and answer them — including “we cannot know that yet”
What we are looking for
- Two to four years in research, analysis or market intelligence — or one strong step out of a first analyst seat
- SQL and a spreadsheet at real depth — you write the query, not only run someone else’s
- Writing that survives editing: the claim in the first sentence, the caveat where a reader will actually see it
- The patience for source-checking that leads nowhere, which is most of it, most weeks
- Written English of publishable standard; Finnish or Swedish helps, but is not required
Nice to have
- Python for what a spreadsheet stops doing well — messy joins, repeated pulls, a chart worth publishing
- Working knowledge of Nordic public sources: trade registers, procurement notices, permit filings
- A second European or Asian language you can read an annual report in
